Motley Assortment sketches by Gloria Poole in Missouri

I Gloria am adding more of the sketches I created here, [after also adding new post to https://gpoole817.blogspot.com today too]. I am actively trying to build up my reputation as an artist, and am creating art almost daily and trying to create avenues of financial support for myself [as an artist]. These five sketches are some ethnic, one I created for one of my grand-daughters who was very small but aspired to be good at ballet. You will see my hand written notes to myself as I sat at my computer and drew the image in pencil [or ink] and made notes as to costume. I do not erase the notes because if/ when I paint it in oils I need the notes to refer too again. So, the first sketch is one I drew from a photo in the BBC news of Russian President Putin as he looked while skiing.

The second sketch is I drew of a "Jewish Merchant" from the news.

The third sketch is one I drew painted of attempting to "capture" the likeness of Prince Charles in his uniform. As you see, I didn't quite accomplish that, but it was a good try. I sketched him several times more, trying to learn the nuances of portraiture to capture on paper on canvas the personality of real, living person.

The fourth sketch is of an African woman I saw in news and liked the headdress of and tried to draw paint.

. The fifth one is sketch I drew because on of my 4 granddaughter's was learning [and still is] ballet, and asked me if I could draw a ballet dancer? Well. I didn't know if I could, but I tried too. So this is one of three sketches of ballet dancers that I drew painted.

Also, very important: I was NEVER on Facebook nor on Pinterest; and I never lived in Jacksonville, Florida. My reasons for that is because both of those try to claim the ownership of what is added to them, and I intend to retain ownership of my art I create, and the images / photographs of it.

I am alive and creating art almost daily. Also, FYI, the day of the week that I boot up my computer and log on is not significant. I live here 24/ 7 and do that at my convenience. I work for myself in other words. I am white, woman, single, Christian, and the biological mother of two grown daughters who are named Jennifer and Leigh.I am also a Registered Nurse, licensed in Missouri. I was born in the state of Georgia, so am U S citizen by birth. I am also republican and prolife always.
