The Mini-Exhibition of the color RED by Gloria Poole of Missouri

I had considered ending this mini-exhibition this week, but realized I have more art that public has never seen before, in which I painted with red paint. So, here are a few more.

The first sketch here is one I drew then painted today, first in watercolors, then again in acrylics. This is the acrylics on paper sketch I created and named "Beach time". The sketch I drew yesterday of a horse and rider is on the post before this one, so please look at that one also by scrolling back. Also scroll back to the 3rd back post for more red paint art.

The second sketch is one I drew and painted in 2009, and it is Queen Elizabeth II, or rather my version of her. It is inks on paper also. You see my notes to myself on the sketch. I do that when I draw in sketch pad in real time as I see a real person in the news that I want to draw. I make notes to remind me of how they looked so I can paint it later.

The third sketch is I one I created in 2009, and named "Russian skier" but I think It was then Pres Putin [who is Pres of Russia again ] when he was in BBC news and I saw the photo and tried to draw it, and paint it with inks and brush.

The fourth sketch is Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper; and that was about the 4th time I tried to draw and paint him. It is not the best sketch I created of him.

The fifth sketch is one I drew for the prolife cause [which I do regularly and post on my prolife blogs]. I drew it and named it "mother holding baby". It is powdered pastels on paper.

The 6th sketch is the one I drew before I painted the oil painting, "the Scotsman" [see previous post this blog for that oil painting]. It was my initial idea painted to put on paper the idea I had, and then I refined it, changed it when I painted the oil painting "The Scotsman". I named the sketch "Sketch for the Scotsman".

Someone has a great sense of humor, or maybe they're serious? Some of those people who appeared in my list of contacts [that I wrote about yesterday in previous post] are known to me such as Mayor of NYC Mike Bloomberg. [@mikebloomberg]. But most of them were so radical and so uncharacteristic of any thing I would ever sign up for, that it shocked me how they got into my list of contacts . I couldn't find the way to delete them so I put them in a folder, and marked them "unwanted" to isolate them until I could learn the way to remove them from my contacts. I saw just now as I was logging in that Smith and Wesson sent me an email [or someone did] to join their forum. Yesterday, I might have done that--I was panicked by how many people I would NEVER in a zillion years give my email address too, had somehow gotten into my contacts and into my inbox.

Seriously, I pray that IF murderous thugs are ever around me or my daughters [ two] and their children that there are also some GOOD guys with Smith and Wesson in their hand; and prepared to defend the right to life for us. I love good guys and hate bad guys. The problem is that the lines between good and evil are not so clear at times. But one thing I know, I am going to defend my own life if need be, and also my children and grandchildrens'. I pray for us to stay alive and that GOD raises up barriers against bad guys.

I have really no idea how to use that Google plus. And I am very anxious about and therefore wary of total strangers because I was a victim of violence [when I lived in Colorado]. I was told not to give evil a second chance, and I make every efforts not to give evil a chance. Since I am online and there is no visible evidence of that guy who was breaking into my account yesterday from remote [read previous blog], I am grateful to both @Google and the @FBI. So, thanks ! Reminder, that I moved from Colorado on Oct 31, 2009 to the same apt I live in now.

I have been busy writing and creating art for a children's book,and it is great fun, but a learning experience for me to create a book for children. Of course, it is intended that the mamas and daddy's read the book to their toddlers, so adults will read it too. I have created art intermittently since I had a year's formal training in mechanical drawing, years ago. And I have posted much of it on the web, so the world could view it. One of the series I began years ago, is the ethnic paintings' series of oil paintings and sketches in acrylics, watercolors, powdered pastels, inks, of a usually make-believe "person" wearing the costume of a particular tribe or ethnic group. The point of that was and still is, to make a statement, that all humans are created in the womb by GOD; and to HIS specifications--that humans do not decide how tall they will be or what size their bones or brain will be. That is in the "blueprint" of GOD as HE designs them in the womb. I wanted to make a statement, that every tribe, every group of language speakers, every skin color, every culture is loved by GOD according to John 3:16, which is written, " For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life". John 3:16, KJV.

I have created hundreds of ethnic sketches, and probably about 30 oil paintings of different nationalities, languages, cultures. I had put many of them on a special Picasa album, which is somehow changed because of Google +, so I am not sure if the url changed, or what? The instructions said that Picasa albums appear on Google Plus now, but I don't know where. So, maybe look for my name written as gloriapoole on Google Plus? Google Plus seems to have some good features, but it also seems very complicated to me, and totally different from the Google platform. I pray that I am not "sharing" my content with bad people! [Who mean to harm me].

I have more art to add in a few days to this blog and others also. I paint draw sketch in spurts then photograph it, then put some of it on blogs. All art I create is moral and rated G. I also photograph genre scenes but haven't much this year, except for family events, and walkabouts. I have posted some of my photos to my flickr albums also.

More sketches I Gloria created

I am putting four more of the sketches I created here. The first one is: girl with a camera.

The second sketch is from the news that I saw and I tried to reproduce the image of Zara Phillips equestrian [and also the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II] who is well-known equestrian. The notes on it are my handwriting as I was sitting at my computer that day when I saw the photo of Zara Phllips, and I took notes as to the colors of her outfit and the horse. I was drawing with dip pen as I remember and had some trouble with the nib. I plan to repaint this pose into oils on canvas but probably will change the image of Zara Phillips to an imaginary person when I redo it. I save photos from the news intermittently to refer to as I sketch from looking at them IF I am trying to draw a real, living person. Most of the time, the people I paint [such as in ethnic series ] are NOT real people .

The third sketch is one I drew in red ink to see if I could imitate Degas's dancers in tutus.

The fourth sketch is one I drew from an old fashioned gasoline "hurricane lantern" that was sitting by the window and you see the tree branch through the window .

Update on 10-Nov-2013 at 4:08 pm: I finally created a twitter profile and page for my one of my twitter accts of @Tartan_Bliss and added a background, an image for icon [but not my photo] and added three tweets to it. In one of the tweets I added today, I included the photo I took again of the oil painting that I painted for the ethnic series I am painting and that I named "The Scotsman" and that has been on blogs and websites of mine intermittently since I painted it in year 2007. I could not tweet on #Tartan_Bliss but 1-2 times in months because criminals broke into the T-Mobile server to try to strangle that phone of mine so I could not send text messages or tweets. It has been an on-going battle for that twit acct { I have possession of the phone and others of mine also} because of the prolife words on it and because I tweeted the @BBC and a Museum in London to see if they would display the art I create. Criminals who have no authority in my life or over any thing of mine and who live at remote locations are trying to prevent me from having control of the art I create and another set of criminals is trying to squelch my prolife words and testimony as Reg Nurse. But I think what I created today at https://twitter.com/Tartan_Bliss will help me get control of that twitter acct that I began and tweeted on for a year before criminals tried to hijack it. I also have other twitter accts including @gloriapoole; @gloria_poole; @ProlifeNurse. I selected the twit handle @Tartan_Bliss because my paternal grandmother had the surname of one of the most famous clans in Scotland who were and are known for their tartan plaid; and I selected the Bliss name because it is my mother's ancestral name. It rightfully is all right for me to use it/ have it.

Criminals at remote tried to hijack my isp acct today

I am posting because criminals at remote locations tried to hijack my isp account today. I got it back by acting quickly to call telephone company. I tweeted to notify the FBI of the telephone number of the cybercriminal who broke into my account to get their help. I do not have a boss and have not had a boss since 2003. No one else is authorized to log into any account of mine but me.

To change to a more pleasant topic, here is an oil painting I painted recently and titled it "look at me, Mommy" . I hope you like it. It is not quite what I wanted to achieve [too 2 dimensional] but I will probably do more sketches, try again later. I have a two yr old grandson, [and several more grandchildren, sort of young still] but this pose of trying to get his mama's attention was one my real grandbaby did when he was about a yr old. Oh, the white streak is there as documentation that the phone I photgraphed this with was broken into by criminals. who put a black bar across the top to try to ruin the photo. I deleted the hateful black mark of the cybercriminals and it left a white blank streak. I suspect it was those who hate tiny humans who broke into it to ruin it. I tweeted about that to the FBI, also.

Also, here's a photo I hope you like, of an orchid in bloom. I photograph flowers every time I see them. I started photographing flowers to learn how to paint them. They are the hardest subject for me to paint, because they are so thin and delicate. Then, I learned I like photography a lot and continue to photograph. I have photographed probably ten thousand or more photos since about 2008; using an assortment of cameras I own including cell phone cameras also. . And have I put some some of them in Picasa albums I created long ago. Before I moved from Colorado in Oct 2009, I had uploaded 2 GB of photos to what was then mozy and all of them were stolen from me. But I have the originals backed up in about 3 places. I am the same white christian woman who owned the domain of gloriapoole.com, until my computer was broken into in yr 2011 by cyber-thugs and after someone tried to run over me with a vehicle.

This is what I wrote this morning, few minutes ago to mark the occasion of Memorial Day in the U S for the U S Military:

The Fighting Men

The fighting men

who fought;

some died.

Others left body parts

on foreign soil.

With weapon in hand;

and courage in heart,

they face the enemy,

sometimes eye to eye;

sometimes not.

At times, a rustling noise,

or the whizzzzz of a grenade

flying through the air with pin pulled

are the first clues

of enemy approach.

They put their lives on the line.

At their duty stations,

they are sitting ducks.

and on their walkabout patrols.

The enemy watches too.

Watches for a lapse

in faithfulness, or

a split second in time

when the path is clear

to lob a grenade;

or put the X sight on the heart or head

of the watchman.

What does fear taste like?

A metallic dry mouth, so I am told.

What does fear smell like?

The smells of the battle:

of blood,smoke,fire,dirt,dust;

sometimes rain.

The fighting men;

who volunteer

for the life changing event

of U S Military,

are men.

Not wimps.

Not sissies.

Not cry babies.

Not mama's boys.

but men.

Men,

who know that somebody's life

might depend on them.

That maybe a whole lot of nobodys' lives

depend on them.

Men.

Men who learn

a super diligence

to watch every movement;

assess the land quickly,

with an eye for an escape,

and a back up plan,

if the first plan fails.

Men, who know they

must have backbones

like a steel beam.

Men who learn that when confronted

with enemy combatant, they must not blink.

They know they may have only one

chance to save their own lives.

Men, who know they cannot risk

the idle mind, or the wayward thoughts;

or the distractions of

sound making devices;

or chatter.

Men, who know that every day

could be their last on earth;

that their next breath

could produce blood;

that they could slip into eternity

via assassin's bullet.

The fighting men,

who with their lives

secure the freedoms;

and underwrite the cause

of the land of the free

and the home of the brave.

We, the people,

of the United States,

owe them a debt

that cannot be paid,

with mere money or perqs;

but requires the heart

of the nation,

covering them with prayer.

Making intercession to THE ALMIGHTY,

pleading for the innocent

before GOD,

the maker of all,

on bended knees.

The Memorial day

when wreaths are laid;

and speeches are given;

and fly-pasts occur;

to set aside a time

to remember, to thank,

to adulate;

the fighting men.

This is my tribute of praise

to the fighting men

around the world;

who daily recommit

to the nation;

to the First Amendment;

to civil liberties to live,

speak,protest;

that which is immoral;

and injustice.

I salute you,

fighting men of the U S A.

A Merry Christmas to All!

You should see above these words my photo of my sketch I completed yesterday and named "Blue Grass Hobby". I selected that name because of the very well known Kentucky Derby,run annually in what is known as the Blue Grass State [Kentucky]. This is the 5th sketch of a horse and rider I have done [but also I painted 1 painting of a horse with rider and named it "Thoroughbred . It's on the web somewhere if it wasn't stolen off my blog.] I began painting or trying to paint horses in Atlanta, GA in the late 1990's,but had painted a variety of subjects since the 80's. i have also painted some on the coast of Georgia and in Colorado, and now in Missouri, where I live since Oct 2009.

I am adding this here to share it with the world as sort of a Christmas gift to the world from me. I own the copyright to all works of art I create, all words/lessons I write, all poems I write, etc. I have never sold or assigned the copyright nor have I ever appointed any agent to represent me or my art, but me. I hesitate to include any sort of image at Christmas to avoid making idols but I think this could not be confused in any way with the meaning of Christmas. Gift giving, or sharing as I am doing here, is merely a way of celebrating the joy Christians* feel in their hearts when they realize that they have an eternal home in heaven because of JESUS.

Please remember that Christmas is about celebrating JESUS who came to the earth in the human form as all humans do; and was raised up to His unique Ministry of being The Lamb of GOD, to die once for the sins of people, and to replace the sacrificial lamb of Abraham's era on earth. JESUS was crucified and rose from the dead on the 3rd day, and ascended to heaven, where HE is alive forevermore. Read the entire Biblical account of JESUS in The New Testament of the King James Holy Bible; and especially the book of Luke.

Have a blessed celebration of JESUS The Messiah, Redeemer, Saviour. Also read Revelations to see that HE IS ALIVE in heaven.
