This is the sketch I drew with watercolor pencils, then washed over it with a brush and water, early this morning and I also made two other sketches which I put on my http://gloriapoole.livejournal.com; and also on my https://gloriapoole-paintings.blogspot.com. This sketch is of a white-tailed deer which is found in Missouri and also in the state of Georgia. Deer eat leaves off the trees so I drew giant leaves to make the background. Also, I am putting 3 photos I photographed early yesterday morning when the first light was changing from pitch black to that surreal blue that is called the purkinje shift, and it happens early am and late evening as the atmosphere changes when the sun goes down.

Below are three photos I photographed on 15 April 2015, and 2 of them were with my telephoto lens which was the first time I actually used that! I have had it since I bought my digital camera years ago, but I didn't really have much need for it. But I thought i might as well learn how to use it so I practiced with it some.

This is the photo I photographed of flag as I walked about early am yesterday to photograph. I post U S flag intermittently to remind all that I am U S citizen born in state of Georgia with all Constitutional guarantees including the first amendment.

This is a christian cross necklace of mine to remind all I am a born again, Southern Baptist Christian and believe in THE LIVING LORD JESUS as my SAVIOUR and REDEEMER.

Preparing for next oil painting by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia

This is my photo of my studio corner in my so-called 'home office" that I use almost exclusively for painting oil paintings. This photo shows that I had scraped off the old paint and wiped the palette with turpentine before starting again on the painting that I have begun that you see as a blue background on canvas. Before I scraped off the old paint, I used the blue and white oil paint that was on there to create the background.

This photo of mine is to show the creation of the palette for the next oil painting. I do not follow any "routine" for that as some artists do, and do not always use different hues of paint. I always start with the four primary colors however and add more as I need them. I do not use a wild variety of paint or high number of colors of paint to create the art I create.

This is my palette and easel as it exists today. I am thinking on what I want to paint there. I have two different ideas and they are both good, but one is of something I have sketched a few times and want to get exactly right if I paint it into oils, because it's one of my fav subjects.

This is one of my photos of my dip pens,and nibs that I draw with in inks; and my mortar and pestle where I sometimes experiment with grinding my own pigments. Artists have done that for centuries and I am no exception. I experiment with many techniques to produce art also, and many subjects.

This is my signature I signed in digital ink for a personal logo this year.

This is my left hand on one of my cross necklaces to remind all, that I do not make images or sculptures of JESUS or of GOD THE FATHER; nor do I worship any idols or images,or statues in accordance with the commandments of GOD in Exodus 2, KJV. I am Southern Baptist/ Great Commission Baptist faith. Read Matthew 28:18-20 for understanding what that means.

This is one of my photos of the U S flag that I photographed on walkabout and it is a visual reminder that I am natural born U S citizen with all civil liberties including the first amendment freedom of Press.
