Sioux Falls Trolley sketch by Gloria Poole of Missouri and Georgia

Yesterday, I, Gloria Poole, drew and painted three sketches. One of them was a re-do since I had painted it already in watercolors, and had the perspective wrong, and didn't like watercolors for that subject so repainted it. This sketch is my rendition of the Sioux Falls South Dakota Trolley [on an incline] . I added in trees in background because I like tree-lined city streets. The color scheme is true to the real trolley. This sketch is acrylics on paper [sketch book 9x12 inch size] . Also, some will remember I also drew and painted "The Old Savannah Trolley" that was stored on a back lot of Savannah, GA, when I visited relatives in Savannah in year 2000 and photographed and then painted it from my photograph in year 2004. I use my photographs I photograph with a variety of cameras for that purpose; and I refer to the news on web to see real people from other nations to draw, paint for my ethnic paintings I paint. This sketch of Sioux Falls SD Trolley is on my portable drawing board. The reflection you see in the metal clamp is from the flash on camera and the reflection of my huge oil painting on wall to the right that I painted and named "The Lawn". I rephotographed 4 times trying to avoid reflection but needed the flash because it was early morning, sun coming up but not facing that window! Also, I had a bit of trouble trying to draw and paint an intersection! That proved harder than I thought, so it appears as if a black line is going up to sky in left of sketch and the white line is the cross walk. It's a re-do also some day. I put about 6 hours of time in this sketch and just got tired of it and declared it finished and signed it.

I had many domains for years 2003-2011 until someone tried to run over me as I walked about and my pocketbook was lifted from me by unknown man who said he was taking it and I protested but was lying helplessly on the pavement waiting for ambulance.
