I, Gloria [Poole] , am adding here the oil painting I finished at noon today. It is oil on canvas and is 16 x 20 or 20 x 24 [forgot to look before opening canvas]. I named it "Brothers and cousins" .It is on my giant easel and you see some of the background behind it of what's on wall [other paintings and photos]. The tiniest boy standing on the shoe of the largest one is the cousin of the other two who are brothers. Also, you will see the second photo is my sketch I drew of the idea I had and then once I saw I liked it, I started painting it in oils. The "children" in this painting and sketch resemble my own grandsons but not too much. I do not want to paint them precisely because they are minors still and I do not want to put them at risk.
This is the preliminary sketch to form the idea of the compostion and theme. It is mixed media of acrylics and watercolors on paper in my sketch book 9 x 12 size.
Also, a reminder: the tumblr at gloriapoole.tumblr.com contains or did contain art I created and was/is my tumblr. I told them to take it down and to securely delete that tumblr blog because it was not secure and because I would not sign away my copyrights to the art I created that I put on it. Since I have the originals of the art I created that is displayed on it, I did not want them holding onto my photos of art I created. So, I am removing that link to tumblr from my other blogs. FYI.
