This is a sketch I created yesterday using a technique I learned about on youtube! I drew the sketch with graphite pencil. Then I painted tempera paint over where the white flower would be and let it dry completely. Then I brushed black ink all over it and let it dry. Then I washed off the ink and the tempera under running water and let it dry again. Then I painted it with watercolor, acrylic and yellow ink for stamens. I also signed it, photographed it, uploaded it, and posted it to this blog of mine which is only one of my blogs that I post art I make too. I do not know the name of that technique. I have made art using a commercial resist to prevent watercolor from getting on parts of the white paper before, but I have not used tempera paint as a resist before. I painted and re-painted this sketch about 4 times! I painted a perlescent white watercolor over the petals of the flowers. I am not totally satisfied with how it looks but it was a good learning experience. Copyright. Also, I posted a second sketch I made below. Those are my fingers on the left bottom edge of paper sketch. Also, that is 6 x 8 inch watercolor paper.
This is a sketch I made on cardstock which is very similar to Bristol board but smaller dimensions. I bought cardstock in a packaged set of 5 different colors including navy blue, coral, tan, white and soft pink. I drew the sketch on this coral tinted paper with a graphite pencil, then painted it with black acrylic paint and black ink.I drew it with black ink first then decided I needed acrylic over it so added that. I was trying to replicate a tropical sunset that I saw in a much smaller photo. I created it, signed it, photographed it, uploaded it and posted it to this blog of mine today 21 Feb 2016 at 2:13pm. Copyright. For the record, the most "tropical' beach I have ever been too is Jacksonville,or Pensacola, Florida when I was a child, or perhaps Port Aransas Texas beach years ago. Neither of those qualify as a "tropical beach" however! I like the sunsets and sunrises wherever they are, and I keep trying to paint them so they look convincing. I also photograph sunrises and sunsets often either from my balcony or on walkabout. This cardstock paper is 8.5 x 11 inches in size and I bought a quantity of it to experiment with tinted paper. I also put the first sketch I made with it, which is on navy blue cardstock on my:

Also, I see the stats from Google today for two of my blogs so for all blogs I have been writing those stats for, I have added viewers/readers from Hungary and Australia to these countries: US; Spain; Germany; France; Sweden; Mexico; Romania; Russia; United Arab Emirates; Norway; Canada; Poland; India; Portugal; Czech Republic; United Kingdom; Ireland; Ukraine; Belgium; China; Indonesia; New Zealand; Hong Kong; Greece; Phillippines; Pakistan; Kenya; Azerbaijan; and Morocco so I thank all of you publicly for considering my art I make and my words worth you time!
You can follow me on Twitter on these accounts of mine: @gloriapoole; @gloria_poole; @Tartan_Bliss; @tweetie0817; @ProlifeNurse and @personhood1.Each is different. I am NOT on Instagram, nor on Facebook, nor on Pinterest and have not authorized anybody ever to use my name or art I created, or photos I photographed, or words I wrote, nor to sign my name to anything. I have never been on Instagram, nor Facebook, nor Pinterest and never had an Instagram, nor a Facebook nor a Pinterest account. Someone may be using my name on Instgram however, as I was alerted to that possibility by Google.
Also, again, much thanks to my viewers of art I create and readers of words I write in the 30 countries that view this blog. I make note of the stats on each blog and some viewers of other blogs do not view this blog so I am not sure what the difference is. I think it may be that they do not recognize the telephone numbers I put on some blogs as mine but I do have telephones from 3 different companies because threats were made to my life by my 2nd exhusband [initials DBP] who tried four times to kill me during years 2003-2006. I am very cautious and do not want him following me on twitter or sending me emails or communicating with me in any way. He has a mandatory restraining order against him. FYI.
INFORMATION ABOUT ME Gloria Poole, Registered Nurse, artist in all artist mediums, photographer, author, illustrator, cartoonist at times; writer, blogger, prolife activist, mother, divorced white Christian woman:
This is my signature that I signed on the sketch "lil girl watching the waves" which I posted yesterday to my http://gloriapoole-UK.livejournal.com. I photographed my signature on that sketch several times with several cameras including on some of my cell phones, to establish fact that they are mine and I still use them and have possession of them and intend to keep them [though criminal thugs OFTEN try to hijack them] . Copyrighted. I signed this signature with red watercolor paint and then cropped it for a purpose.
This is my signature I painted to make a 2016 personal logo and I painted on the paintbrush. I have posted it to 2 other blogs of mine so far. Copyright.
