I drew and then painted with inks on a brush this sketch and named it 'flower garden" and I signed it [as always]. It is on paper 11 x14 inches in size in my sketch book of the moment, and I photographed it on my portable drawing board propped on my giant easel in my front room.
I drew this with graphite pencils and rulers and then painted it with inktense [ink pencils ] and acrylics. I was trying to design a necklace for dramatic events. It is on 11 x 14 paper also in same sketch book. I also signed it.
This sketch is one that sort of morphed as I went along with it. I started trying experiment to see IF I could paint those gel vitamins, then realized I could also morph it into a jeweler's bench sorting stones because I love amethyst and brilliant red ruby stones in jewelry. It is my first attempt to paint stones in jewelry and I admit it is not a great result. But I will try again. Because I have to learn how to paint textures, metal, rain drops, fabrics etc etc etc and so I keep practicing. I signed this when the paper was very wet because I had used watercolors and tempra, so I had to patch up my signature a bit and re-photograph it. It is also in my 11 x 14 sketch book.
