The first photo is of the powdered pastel sketch I created this morning and late last night. It is on 9 x 12 paper and I signed it with powdered pastels, which are a totally different medium than fluid paint, and requires different tools. You can see how that looks in my signature. It creates a softer, more human look to portraits. I use that medium intermittently but I prefer paints . I am still trying to perfect my skills in painting in newborns and infants. I am a prolife blogger and I post images I create of mothers and children to blogs intermittently as reminders of GOD's commandment in Genesis 1:28, KJV, to "be fruitful and multiply".
The second photo is of the oil painting I painted of a mother and her newborn while they are still in the hospital after giving birth. Of course, you can tell that I painted the newborn way too big! Baby looks the size of a toddler. I painted this after my niece in Georgia had a baby boy. It is oil on canvas.
The third photo is a mother with her newborn preemie. You can see the difference in a preemie and a full term baby in this sketch on paper. A preemie is scrawny, with no body fat, and often pitifully small and underdeveloped. The good news is that babies who weighed only one pound at birth have survived and thrived thanks to neonatal units.
The fourth photo is of an oil painting about 3.5 feet wide and about 3 ft high [ I didn't re-measure it] of a mother and her baby girl napping in the much loved, worn out threadbare recliner. It is oil paint on archival mat.
The fifth photo is the oil painting I painted and then slightly re-painted of a mother and daughter at the seashore. It is oil on canvas also.
The sixth photo is of the sketch I drew, painted of a mother and daughter on walkabout. It is on paper in watercolors.
The seventh is the photo of the oil painting of a mother and daughter on walkabout that I painted on canvas. If you compare the painting to the sketch above of the same theme, you see I changed it as I painted it in oils.
The eighth photo is a sketch I painted of a mother holding her infant. It is also powdered pastels on paper.
The ninth photo is of the sketch I drew painted in acrylics of a mother teaching her young daughter how to fish. It is acrylic on paper.
Most of these are on other blogs also but not recently. I am putting some of the mothers and children art I created here as a theme, and I think I also created a similar blog post on another blog of mine but with different art I created. I do not conform my blogs. I create them one by one at different times. If I am grouping the art I create/ created into themes which I do intermittently, there is some overlap, but on any given day, the top post is different. Each blog is unique in other words, and if you wanted to see all the art I have created and posted to the web you would have to see all blogs of mine. I categorize my blogs into mostly art I create; prolife; teaching the gospel; teaching public health as Registered Nurse, so usually you can tell the difference in the content. However, I put art I create on almost every blog I own and create.
Also, yesterday, I completed the online story with the art I created for it, that is about Lady Bugs [Lady as a title and Bug as a descriptor and last name] picnic and the adventures that led up to it, and posted it to my blog for that purpose [cartoons] at https://cartooning-by-gloriapoole.blogspot.com. It is intended to be entertainment for pre-school children but I think all ages will enjoy it. The art is bright and colorful and intended to teach some of the things that parents have to teach their children. I think all in any country would like it.
Also, I added more art I created to these blogs of mine in past few days:
https://gpoole817.blogspot.com ; "Rocky top dancer" sketch
https://artist-gloriapoole.blogspot.com of 4 photos of sketch I created of race horse at different stages of the creation of it
https://mini-exhibition.blogspot.com
https://gloriapoole-paintings.blogspot.com
And updated these prolife blogs of mine with news , events :
https://gloriapoole-RN-artist.blogspot.com; about Genome sequencing of living babies & medical doctors writing "do not resuscitate" orders without authority of patient or family
http://gloria76653.tripod.com
And of course, I am continually creating art and following the prolife news to update and educate from a Registered Nurse's perspective [who had 26 year career in acute care hospitals]. And I tweet almost daily on one or another of my twitter accounts so you can follow me on those if your intentions are not to harm me. Or read my posts on the twitter pages at: http://twitter.com/gloriapoole

Remember that twitter pages are like blogs. To read in sequence you have to start at beginning of first tweet and read forward [scroll forward] if you on twitter page on computer and not an app.

Update by me Gloria on 27 June to add this
I added two sketches I drew painted signed of Lake of the Ozarks blue herons [birds] to my https://lifes-entertainment.blogspot.com, which has the theme of moments of life that are very entertaining and or relaxing, de-stressing. The art for todays post is that bird watching is one of life's pleasures;; and hearing birds sing is too! Also, to say a thank you to Dave Barry for his article in Wall Street Journal about the song G-L-O-R-I-A which was a song men I dated would sing to me! I created domains of art I created with my name written that way and posted much art to them. Those domains were stolen from me by cybercriminals but I have the blog that I began in yr 2005 that was the content for one of those domains still and it is
http://gloriapoole.wordpress.com, with title of G-L-O-R-I-A. So, thanks to Dave Barry and @WSJ for publishing that article. it means a lot to me. Also, I updated my official blog for words that WORK today with a sketch and a photograph and the words that are the rationale for them at
https://words-that-work-llp.blogspot.com. After I did that cybercriminals tried to hijack that blog of mine AND my telephone! I had to swap my numbers all around to get it back. Reminder that I do have a landline telco phone listed in tel directory if you are calling and you are not trying to harm me, you can contact me on that number, or on my cell phones if you know them. I changed some numbers on several accounts of mine in past few days to try to prevent criminals from breaking into my accounts, but the numbers I changed are my numbers still , I just swapped some into acct and others outa acct to get control of them.
